Crown Mas is a section of the Toronto Revellers Cultural Association dedicated to participating and celebrating Caribbean identity, diaspora, and culture through the Toronto Caribbean Carnival, formerly and more lovingly known as Caribana, and other local events. Boasting over a decade of work and events in the city, the Toronto Revellers Cultural Association is a non-profit organization that aims to contribute to the multicultural landscape of Canada by promoting, celebrating and exploring the richly diverse culture and traditions of the Caribbean.

SECTION: MIAMI BEACH
BAND: TORONTO REVELLERS
YEAR: 2022
Miami Beach - section of Toronto Revellers 2019 theme Bon Voyage.
A slender, nine-mile-long barrier island along the Atlantic Ocean, divided into three distinct neighbourhoods. South Beach – from South Pointe Park north to 23rd Street – is the most famous of the trio, home to sandy strands, swaying palms and the pastel-colored Art Deco buildings that have become synonymous with this iconic destination and render it so undeniably photogenic.

CONCEPT: CARNIVAL BARBIE 2022
Carnival Barbie is a prototype. The concept is a representation of Caribbean Carnival culture for youth.

CONCEPT: CARNIVAL IS SPORT: STRONGER, FASTER, HIGHER 2021
A LIVE ART INSTALLATION ADAPTED TO THE COVID-19 CLIMATE
Carnival Is Sport: Stronger, Faster, Higher is a live installation sharing the process of Carnival through art, sportswear, and community. Equipped with trained artisans, designers, dancers, and artists, we present a live and enclosed installation that chronicles the careful and historic practise of creating Mas costumes, Our goal is to animate a local space with vibrancy, vitality, and a visceral experience that can educate and engage all in Toronto’s Caribbean identity through art and sport!

CONCEPT: CARNIVAL IS SPORT: LIMITLESS 2020
A concept costume designed and created using reworked Nike accessories and apparel.
Launching the concept “CARNIVAL IS SPORT”, and “CARNIVAL IS A TEAM SPORT”.
Limitless - embodying the feeling of a warrior goddess.

BAND: TORONTO REVELLERS
YEAR: 2019

Mauna Loa - section of Toronto Revellers 2019 theme Treasure Island.
The design was inspired by the volcano Mauna Loa, Hawaii.
The gradation of the hot molten lava cooling to the hard rock. This process is shown through the colours and gradations of warm red/orange to cool tones of blue/grey.
